Liquid Strats Will come back soon

We are planning to re-launch the old liquid strats trading platform on a new host very soon. Stay tuned. For now, I'm attaching some screen shots of the now defunct website to give some idea about the website/strategy.

The gist is - Capital markets as a sector continues to be very lucrative from a market neutral pairs trading perspective. In addition to this, Oil, and gas also looks good.

Some New Names for the short term

Some short term swing ideas. RRD, MAT, and UIS look oversold in the near term. Looking for a decent bounce.
AVEO, WB are overbought. Looking for some intraday short ideas here. Be opportunistic with WB. Daily price range is $1-2. Similarly looking at WTW, GRUB, and YELP from the short side. Be nimble, and take your profits! So many new 52 week lows... Bounces do come by, but takes at least a few days of patient waiting. THC, HTZ did see a good bounce recently. Retail, Move theaters and generic drugs are other areas that look oversold. Keeping an eye on HIBB, FOSL, ENDP, LCI, AMC.

Closed 2/18 610 Strike call at 23.00.
The near month call at strike 640 expires worthless pocketing the $770 payoff.

Interesting times

Google near term options trading at implied well north of 100%. Market pricing in another +/-5% move. Anyone wants to take the other side of this bet? A simple approach would be to take two at the money call or put options, sell the short dated and buy the longer dated. Of course the downside kicks in if google is trading at more than 655 or below 605 after earnings!

Close Strike 50 put at 0.65. Reducing loss on this. Will probably add some direct shorts or sell calls on PLL soon.

2/18/2011 Call at strike 610 continues to be open.
